I met Ghazala Khan at Neil and Neetu's engagement party. Surprisingly that night she asked me to photograph a celebration party on a boat in Newport Beach the very next day! Ghazala was kind enough to throw a this party in honor of her daughter, Schehrezade's graduation from medical school in Pakistan. Judging from how fun the engagement party was, I knew I was in for something. There were great musical performances as well as some colorful exotic dancers. Aside from the entertainment though, the most important and powerful subject throughout the night was love. I could tell simply from looking at Ghazala that she loved Schehrezade, her family, and friends more than anything, and that is something I really try to capture in all my pictures.
